This post is dedicated to my loving and adorable Grandparents. My Grandmommy and Grandaddy have been married for 58 years! Yes—that's right—58! Daniel Edward Wilkins and Mary C. Browning were married on June 1, 1952. My Grandmommy was 15 years old, although she was just 3 months short of her 16th birthday, and Grandaddy was 22 years old. I had to ask again when my mom told me it was their anniversary—you mean they have been married for 58 years?? Sounds absurd right?! Well its not. It's AMAZINGLY true. You do the math. I am so blessed to have such wonderful role models in my life and I can only hope that one day in 50-some-odd years I am sitting there with my grandkids telling them about the time I met their grandfather 58 years ago.
